FinCEN ID

What is the FinCEN Identifier (ID) Application?

Individuals may request a unique identifying number issued by FinCEN (FinCEN Identifier, or FinCEN ID) through the FinCEN ID Application.

Reporting companies may report the FinCEN ID of an individual on a Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) rather than that individua’s otherwise required personal information.

FinCEN ID
Individuals may receive only one FinCEN ID.
FinCEN ID
Individuals are not required to obtain a FinCEN ID.

However, We recommende to have a FinCEN ID for individuals, especially if you are involved in entities that are required to report beneficial ownership information (BOI) under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA).

A FinCEN ID can simplify the reporting process and provide a convenient, secure way for individuals to share their information.
FinCEN ID
A FinCEN ID provides an extra layer of privacy protection.

It allows the individual to provide the FinCEN ID number to the company filing the report instead of disclosing their full personal details to multiple entities.

FinCEN keeps the personal information securely in its system, and the company only needs to report the individual's FinCEN ID.
FinCEN ID
While not required, having a FinCEN ID is highly recommended for individuals involved in entities subject to BOI reporting.

It provides convenience, enhances privacy and security, and helps simplify the reporting process.
